How to Rename Lithe Lithe Audio Bluetooth Ceiling Speakers

How to Rename Lithe Lithe Audio Bluetooth Ceiling Speakers

This guide will walk you through the steps of renaming your Lithe Audio Bluetooth Speaker and adding an optional PIN. Lithe Audio is one of the most popular home audio solutions, and renaming them can help keep your system organised and easy to connect to. Adding an optional PIN can also help keep your system secure.

This is only applicable to the Lithe Audio Bluetooth speakers, both the Standard and IP44 Bathroom model. For the Pro and WiFi models, they can be renamed through the main Lithe Audio App, or smart home system.

As the renaming is encoded into the speaker itself, and is not local to one single phone or tablet, anybody looking to connect from any device will see your chosen name.

This is not only useful at home, but also for the leisure industry, such as hotels, holiday parks and mobile caravans, as you will be able to clearly see which speaker to connect to. Adding an additional PIN will also ensure nobody without the code can connect.

At Audio Volt, we can rename your Lithe Audio Bluetooth Speaker free of charge upon purchase. To do this, simply input your desired name into the text box on the product page, and we'll sort the rest.

HOW TO RENAME LITHE AUDIO BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS

STEP 1

Download the Lithe Audio Setup App from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.

STEP 2

Ensure the Lithe Audio Speaker is powered on. You can do this out of the ceiling, or when in situ.

Open the Lithe Audio Setup App. It will automatically start searching for Bluetooth devices. Once complete find the Lithe Audio speaker in the list (you may need to scroll down the list) and select it.

If you are doing this for the first time, it will appear as Lithe Audio BT2. If you have previously renamed the speaker, select that name.

The app will prompt you to input an administrator password.

This is not the pin for the speaker, this is a password to access the app and app controls. – this stops anybody other than yourself changing anything without permission.

Remember this password as it will be required any time you wish to make an adjustment. The example shows 0000, but this can be any number.

STEP 4

You will be provided with some pre-filled examples, which you can click if they apply to your room.

If not, simply click custom name, and input your desired name.

STEP 6

You will now need to confirm the new name. Simply click the orange update button and you speaker will now be renamed.

Follow the steps on the next screen which will take you to your Bluetooth settings. You can now search for the speaker and it should show your new name.
