Westover Group opens its new £15 million Jaguar Land Rover dealership, following on from the £7.5m service centre in Christchurch.

Housing more than 100 approved used cars, as well as the complete line up of new vehicles, the new site delivers a complimentary barista bar, electric vehicle charging facility, relaxed seating areas with free Wi-Fi, interactive colour and trim display, brand heritage and merchandise area, and dedicated areas for vehicle handover that gives the customers a retail experience like no other.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS

Audio Volt contacted Monacor UK for product recommendations and a design that would give their customer a multizone system. The system would need produce good quality background audio levels and also be discreet to blend into the £15 million pound development.

The dealership has three main areas, Jaguar Showroom, Land Rover Showroom and the Central Core which all needed to be controlled independently from the amplifier location.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS

Our commercial audio department took the client’s operational requirements into account and came up with an audio design that matched their exact needs. We used the extremely popular Monacor PA-12040 4 x 120w mixing amplifier that allows up to four zones to be controlled via the front panel controls and also incorporates a matrix mixing section to assign any input to any, or all outputs.

For the music source a Monacor WAP-200 internet/DAB/FM/MP3 player was used which allows the system to pick up on internet radio stations via the LAN or Wi-Fi networks, rather the client needing to have an external aerial fitted to the building which would look unsightly on such a prestigious build.

The designed was completed using the Monacor EDL-620 20w 100v line flush mounted loudspeakers that incorporate the multi-tapping feature to allow the audio level to be adjusted to compensate for the variations in ceiling heights.
